Natiruts

This will be their first New Zealand Tour. After touring in Europe and playing in festivals such as Rotonton Sunsplash European Reggae Festival. The Brazilian music mixed with reggae roots band Natiruts will arrive in New Zealand. The band “natiruts” was formed in Brasília in 1994 under the name Nativus. In 1997, the group launched the independent CD Nativus, which had a hit with "Presente de um Beija-Flor" and sold 40,000 copies. Sued by the band Os Nativos, they changed the group's name after a long judicial battle to Natiruts. Reissued by EMI, the first album sold 450,000 copies. Povo Brasileiro had hits with "Povo Brasileiro" and "Proteja-se e Lute," and Verbalize had success with its title track.

The sonorous and raw message of the vocals, passing between the typical effects of the Dub, is the seasoning of this sound. Box and bass marking fortress in behalf of an imposing and contagious rhythm. In "Tropical Glamour" the climate of MPB is high shown up in a construction musical that brink bossa nova, however the bass and the light "reverbs" give the touch reggae to the composition. In "Groove Good", a delicious introduction of guitar "funkeada" added to a letter of positive full, is clear ingredient for more a success of the band.
